Students in printing studio will be introduced to printing technics and its creative process. Technical and material possibilities can help the students to learn to use the studio as a tool to improve their personal work and to combine both their private studio and printing studio. Printmaking has a great importance in our visual culture. It can be light and portable which makes this technic very accessible. This the reason why it has a long history. In contemporary art it gives us the possibility to use it in different ways. In printmaking practice not only we can make traditional 2 dimensional works but also we can make 3 dimensional works such as zines, artist books, billboards, etc.
Students will not only learn basic printing technics but get an experience on that field. Study of this unit will give to the students the possibility to experiment to develop their critical point of view and to combine technics and concepts.
